Kardinal Offishall
Not 4 Sale
(Geffen)

Kardi surely must have realized the irony of naming his fourth studio effort Not 4 Sale while working with the likes of Akon, T-Pain and Rihanna. I say, “Who cares?” I could listen to that infectiously aggressive loop on “Set it Off” all day long. (more…)

RollingStone.com: Kardinal Offishall Explains How He and Akon Made “Dangerous” a Hit

Here’s Kardinal’s Rolling Stone feature originally published on September 9th for Rock & Roll Daily…

After years of getting respect from top hip-hop artists around the world (but not much in the way of chart action) Toronto MC Kardinal Offishall has a smash on his hands. “Dangerous” from his new album Not 4 Sale (out last week) went Top Five on Billboard’s Hot 100 and is now chilling in the 10 spot.

Guelph Mercury Feature: KARDINAL OFFISHALL GETS NOTICED
Sunday, September 21st, 2008

— Guelph Mercury published a new article on Kardinal Offishall on Sep 18, 2008 by MICHAEL BARCLAY
for their NIGHTLIFE section…

KARDINAL OFFISHALLNOT 4 SALE (KONLIVE/UNIVERSAL)

Kardinal Offishall has never got his proper due in this country — but in typical Canadian fashion, a top-5 single in the U.S. might finally make this Toronto veteran the superstar he deserves to be. You’d be forgiven for not realizing that the smash summer single Dangerous — featuring a chorus sung by hitmaker Akon — is actually the product of this “rude boy from T-Dot,” though that’s only a gateway drug into an eclectic tour-de-force that propels Kardinal to the forefront of hip hop well beyond Canadian borders.

Kardinal hits the big time

Sometimes patience, and especially perseverence, really does pay off.

Kardinal Offishall has soldiered long and hard on the Canadian hip-hop scene, carrying the reggae-rap torch, flirting with mainstream success, winning Junos for his work with the Rascalz and Choclair, and doing occasional one-off collaborations with U.S. stars such as Busta Rhymes and Method Man.
